On the Job
- Supplemental room and garage heat
- Seasonal change-outs
- New installs with smart controls
A thermostatic radiator valve that autonomously regulates hot-water flow through a cast-iron or steel panel radiator based on the measured room temperature. A wax-filled sensing element expands and contracts in response to ambient shifts, opening the valve seat for more heat when the room cools and throttling flow as the target is reached — no external wiring, no Wi-Fi hub, no boiler-side logic changes. M30 x 1.5 mm thread and a UK-standard pocket bore make this a drop-in upgrade for most fixed-head and lockshield radiator jobs.

Thermostatic Radiator Valve
Product Overview
A thermostatic radiator valve that autonomously regulates hot-water flow through a cast-iron or steel panel radiator based on the measured room temperature. A wax-filled sensing element expands and contracts in response to ambient shifts, opening the valve seat for more heat when the room cools and throttling flow as the target is reached — no external wiring, no Wi-Fi hub, no boiler-side logic changes. M30 x 1.5 mm thread and a UK-standard pocket bore make this a drop-in upgrade for most fixed-head and lockshield radiator jobs.
Key Features
- Wax-filled thermostatic element — reacts to room temperature, not a remote timer
- Setpoint dial — 5 °C to 28 °C target range, easy to read
- M30 x 1.5 mm thread — fits most current radiator valves
- UK-standard pocket bore — click-in sensor, no thread seal on sensor
Why You'll Love It
- Quiet, efficient heat output — no fan noise or open-flame maintenance
- Simple installation — most units plug or hardwire in under an hour
- ETL and UL listed where applicable — meets standard residential code requirements
- 30-day return window if the unit doesn't suit the application
Ideal Applications
Installation & Usage
- Mount to wall studs or masonry anchors at the height indicated in the spec sheet.
- Hardwire to a dedicated 15 A or 20 A circuit per NEC/local code requirements.
- Test operation at low setpoint before restoring room access or insulation.
- Allow 6 in. of clearance above and below the unit for convection heat flow.
What's Included
- Thermostatic Radiator Valve — 1 unit as described
- Wall-mount bracket and hardware kit
- Built-in thermostat and wiring knockout cover
- Installation hardware — wall anchors and bolt kit
Care & Maintenance
- Vacuum the baseboard or tower intake grill twice per heating season.
- For garage heaters, inspect fan blades and airflow path for debris before seasonal startup.
- Keep a minimum 6 in. clearance in front of all heating units at all times.
- Never cover heaters with clothing or fabric — risk of overheating.
Technical Notes
- Sensing element accuracy: ±1 °C at 20 °C ambient, per DIN EN 215 standard.
- Do not paint or apply insulating tape to the sensing element — affects setpoint.
- System must be fully vented before commissioning to avoid air-lock false closures.
